/usr/bin/(nam) comes before /usr/local/bin/ in $PATH !
Therefore the 'nam' command will use any faulty nam you have in /usr/bin/.
? Are you still using Fedora ?
The only known 'nam' with "Segmentation fault" is from the useless Ubuntu packages.
If ns-allinone-2.35_gcc482.tar.gz , the 'Nov 2014 update' ...
