Question ns2

After I install ns2.35 on Ubuntu 16.04 desktop I got the following error message. How I can fix it? thank you.

"application-specific initialization failed: Can't find a usable init.tcl in the following directories:
:/opt/ns-allinone-2.35/tcl8.5.10/library/:/usr/lib/ /home/kali/ns-allinone-2.34/lib/tcl8.4 :/opt/ns-allinone-2.35/tcl8.5.10/library/:/usr/lib/ :/opt/ns-allinone-2.35/tcl8.5.10/library/:/usr/tcl8.4 /usr/local/lib/tcl8.4 /usr/lib/tcl8.4 /usr/local/library /usr/library /usr/tcl8.4.18/library /tcl8.4.18/library /home/kali/ns-allinone-2.34/lib/tcl8.4
This probably means that Tcl wasn't installed properly."

Welcome to LQ.

See https://groups.google.com/forum/?fro...rs/JNERrrO-RBo

A similar error will also happen if you move the "ns-allinone-2.35/" to a new location.
I.e. The executable 'ns' or "ns-<any-name>" is hard coded to know the location of it`s libraries:
ns-allinone-2.35/{ lib/{libtcl*, tclConfig.sh, tcl8*/}, bin/tcsh8* }.

" 'ns' is hard coded to know ns-allinone-2.35/lib, bin" also means that any text added to .bashrc is meaningless.

"ns-2.35"

The updated version is ns-allinone-2.35_gcc5.tar.gz
