Dear KNUDFL/LQ users,

Kindly suggest some Linux distros (available free) for ns-allinone-2.1b9a-gcc32.

I plan to try out the ns on a virtual box

Thank you

Now the problem is : Program leaking with memory errors.

Caught up! -- for a week now. Please refer http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...9a-4175554263/

URGENT Please help!

Thank you

Re #33, and post #1 in the other thread ...

My guess is : Use an old OS like Redhat 7.2 / Redhat 9 / CentOS 3 / Slackware 8.1 .
A very old computer is also required (year 2002 ?), I think.

Re #35.

"memory corruption" is a glibc thing.
http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...9a-4175554263/

The mmac code and ns-2.1b9a were meant for like glibc~2.2.3 .. glibc~2.2.5.

Can you explain it a bit.

BTW, i tried changing the VM to make this work and jumped into quite a lot of other problems, only wasting another day..
the fight with mmac/ns2.19ba not getting over!!!

Saying that, I am thankful for all your timely suggestions.
