ns-2.1b7a install problem (last resort)


I am posting here in case some here had encountered similiar problem although I know its a looOng shot
I am using redhat 9 and currently installed gcc-2.95.3 and am trying to install ns-2.1b7a.

When i install i get this error message.

debug.h:35 'category' was not declared in this scope
debug.h:35 'level' was not declared in this scope
debug.h:35 'format' was not declared in this scope
debug.h:35 parse error before '#'
debug.h:48 confused by earlier errors bailng out
make:***[trace.o] error 1
ns make failed!

any way to resolve this problem? please help.
