novel users to access linux box for mail

ok been going thru reading this forum and about confused now

what I am trying to do is I have a novell box with the users and I want the redhat box to be the mail server I want the mailserver to accept mail for any users on the novell box.

right now I have to add users twice once on the novell and once on the redhat.

so what I want is to remove all the local users from the redhat box and just have them on the novell.

if what I am reading I need to set the novell to use ldap and the redhat box to authenticate the user thru the novell ldap.

if I do this and remove all the local users from the redhat box. will they still beable to accept mail and send mail.

also besides setting up ldap is there anything else I need to configure.

Thanks

pete
