notification daemon themes

Hi there!

I'm trying to get my notification's to stop looking like hideous boxes:

http://img210.imageshack.us/i/screenshot5m.png/

They are the default ones with notification-daemon 0.4.0. Which is standard for my install (Gentoo). There's however an option in the popup / notification settings (in System->Preferences in Gnome 2.26.3) for changing the theme, but I only have standard available and I can't find anything about how to get them anywhere on line.

I can see that people using ubuntu at one stage had 3 theme engines libbubble, libubuntu and libstandard in their /usr/lib/notification-daemon-1.0/engines where I only have libstandard, and I can see that there is a libbubble theme in the source code for the notification-daemon package, but I can't find anything on how to install it.

Any help would be appriciated.

Well I found out that the ubuntu theme can be installed by applying a patch to the notification-daemon. I build an ebuild for gentoo which uses the themes flag to determine if it should install the ubuntu theme.

(You will need to copy the notification-daemon-0.4.0-report-sound-capability.patch from your main portage to your files folder 'sudo cp /usr/portage/x11-misc/notification-daemon/notification-daemon-0.4.0-report-sound-capability.patch /usr/local/portage/x11-misc/notification-daemon/files'. Then build a manifest 'sudo ebuild /usr/local/portage/x11-misc/notification-daemon/notification-daemon-0.4.0-r1.ebuild manifest')

I also found a fedora theme with an ebuild and patch from here. (The patch needs to go into your files folder in your local overlay as per normal - and as always build a manifest 'sudo ebuild /usr/local/portage/x11-themes/notification-daemon-engine-nodoka/notification-daemon-engine-nodoka-0.1.0.ebuild manifest')
