nah, you were pretty important in this thread. Otherwise I should still being editing a lot of files in xclients to make blackbox to work

I was configuring it and ran gmake like it said and it said(after I ran it a gain):

gmake

I'm not sure what gmake is for. I did:

./configure (if you get no errors, then proceed)

make

make install (this one as root indeed)

There's a possibility of a bug with some RedHat 9.0 packages (RH first releases are full of them). Try updating your distro with apt-get using the following command:

apt-get dist-upgrade

You should anyway run the update once in a while for security reasons and small bug fixes. Try installing it again as I suggested (./configure, make, make install). If still no success, I dunno. This is my last card .
