Notepad++ hang when open file edited in other text editor

Hi,

I would like to ask about the notepad++ text editor application, Although there are alternative and more great text editor in linux (gedit, geany, jedit) im still using the notepad++ sometimes cause for some of my own reason one of those is the minimalist text(what i mean is notepad++ has a nice neat and clean interface specially the font and its gui fonts)(using small fonts therefore display more information in the screen) not like others text editor using large font therefore lots of white space.

By the way my question: im having problem using notepad++ in wine or playonlinux when one of the open files is edited/open on other editor, deleted in the file browser, will cause the entire instance to hung and need to force close therefore all unsave open files gone..

Hope someone experience or been through and know some tweeks..

Thanks and Best regards any input will highly appreciated

Almost any editor I know can be configured to use whatever font and fontsize you like, so the simplest solution would be not use Notepad++.
Other simple solutions: Close the tab with that has the file open before you delete it. Don't delete files you have open in Notepad++. Don't use a different editor to edit a file you have open in Notepad++.

@TobiSGD: thanks for a speedy response, i guess your right of all what you said is correct, i just wondering if someone has the same experience of mine and know some workaround, by the way i used multiple text editor and we all know nothing is perfect. like gedit hard to open large text file, and less functionality, if you add more functionality with multiple plugins you will encounter sluggishness or slow responseness thats why i only used gedit for small text editing task, the gui font on gedit and geany use large font therfore lots of unneeded white space suppose to be some extra icon for extra functionality. Thats what i like in notepad++..

And also im a kind of dump i sometimes delete or move or rename a file not knowing i open it in notepad++..

By the way thanks for the reply..

Just had a look at some screenshots of Notepad++, seems to me that GVim and SciTe look somewhat similar.
