i just recorded some music off of some records and I was wondering if there is an audio suite that can edit out all the background noise in the recordings. I am looking for something like Sonic Foundry's Sound Forge. I have already heard of audacity but everytime I go to install it, there are way too many dependencies for me to make an effort.

Have you tried the version that's specifically built for Mandy?

that didn't work but I found a utility on sourceforge that works pretty well although it's still in developement. It's called Gnome Wave Cleaner (gwc). Thanks though.
