Not your standard WM comparison.

OK I don't really want this to turn into a "mine is better than yours" kind of a deal ('cause I know how much some of you love you window managers) but I have a small problem.

I run window maker 0.80.1 and I was wondering if there was a way to switch between a full screen program and the desktop. There are a few programs that will let you swap back to the desktop but for the most part they don't. I was wondering if anyone knows how to do this in window maker. Failing that, can anyone recommend a lightweight window manager that can do this?

I've sort of asked this before already but I've expanded the question now so I believe it warrants another thread.

You can try the default shortcut keys:

ctrl + alt + (left key) or ctrl + alt + (right key) to switch between virtual desktops.

alt + H to hide the current window.

More information on WM can be found at the WM web site (if you haven't already read the on-line manual) at:

No they all don't work. They work fine when it's just a bunch of windows I'm dealing with but not when I run a fullscreen program.

Can you give an example of a full screen program that you're running?

The only full screen type programs I've tried are games.
