non-virtual thunk error

I am trying to compiled C++ code on Red Hat Linux(kernel 2.4.17), it has g++ compiler

My c++ classes has multiple inheritance, virtual inheritance. Following is more info

class B : public Class A and Class E{
void onFire();

class C: Class B, Virtual class D{

class A{
virtual void onFire()=0;

class E and class D does not have any thing special

I get non-virtual thunk error at linking in class B:nFire functions.

I don't know what this means, what is causing it and how can i resolve it
