nokia 5800xm as modem on fedora?

There are absolutely no wifi hotspots near my school which doesnt have wifi. The only free hotspot is in the bar, and I use it quite often when I take laptop with me. Well, when I don't have wifi access I use my phone. When I had my old laptop with windows on it I could use nokia pc suite to connect to internet via phone on my laptop. Now I am 100% linux user (no way you would force me to go back, specially not on a laptop).

I was wondering if there is any software for fedora 12 that could do a similar thing and turn my phone in a modem...

Googling 'cell phone as modem linux' gives some interesting hits. The first one is old, but uses fedora 7. Might be a good start.

Ok, fedora actually has mobile broadband support, so I connected my cell via USB, and than set it up to these settings:

Number: *99#
Username: mobitel
password: internet

APN: internet
Network, PIN: empty

IPv4 on auto, PPP all on allow (EAP, PAP, CHAP, MSXHAP, BSD, TCP compression)

For some reason it wont connect. How can I grep the usb and internet connect logs for you guys to help me out?
