No text in gnome, icons really tiny....

I'm a little new on this but I have just installed SUSE 9.1 Pro.

I think the problem started after I updated the System with YAST, I only updated things that SUSE suggested, so no hacking of my own

Gnome starts but, there is no text at all, and the main panel is really little...The screenresolutions is the same but everything is just smaller. So only icons and no text basically.

KDE is working normal, I'm using it now.

//Thanks in advance

You can change your fonts whit the command 'gnome-font-prop' there you can choose the type and the size of the fonts

Hi,

I've had the same problem with SuSE 9.1 Pro. I'm not really sure what caused it, but reinstalling gnome through YaST fixed it. Really weird problem.

Good luck

I had this problem a while back, apparently something to do with freetype, I never did fix it before I got rid of that installation (ran out of diskspace) anyway.
