No Right Click, Play With?

In Windows, I can put audio files in a folder, right click and chose Play With, then chose WMP, or VLC. It starts playing.

In Linux Mint, I have a folder with audio files, when I right click, there is no choice to play. I have to open VLC and go in and chose the folder.

Why does Linux not have the choice to play the audio files? Can I make it do that?

Thank you,

Chris.

Hi!

Umm... I can do that. In both Debian and Arch. What Desktop Environment do you run in Mint? I use Xfce in Debian and on my Arch box I don't even have one installed, but I have Openbox together with PCManFM as file manager.

Best regards,
HMW
