no reboot options after first logout in mandrake 9.1

i run a dual boot with xp and mandrake 9.1. when i reboot into windows i prefer to use the windows option in the reboot menu at the login screen (this way i don't have to pay attention for the 10 second window when lilo comes up. however, when i logout of kde the first time, if i hit the reboot button, it pops up an empty menu (except for the buttons "ok" and "back"). it didn't use to do this. anyone know what the problem is?

Try checking your LILO config. If everything in it looks fine, rerun LILO as root with /sbin/lilo, that will write your config to the MBR again (if that is where you installed the boot record), and it should populate the entries for the logout menu.
