No MSN "buddy icon" in Gaim

I recently set up a "buddy icon" in MSN (it's the same one I'll use for this forum), using the "real" MSN Messenger on my Windows laptop. Unfortunately, when I log onto MSN from my Linux PC using Gaim, my icon doesn't show up - more to the point, neither do any of the icons for those on my "buddy list".

Does Gaim support MSN "buddy icons" (or whatever MSN calls them)? It's not a major flaw, but... well, you know, it just looks cooler when you want to show off Gaim to envious friends ;)

Thanks,
Tim

Hey, I dunno what you really want, but u might want to give a look to Alvaro's MSN (more commonly known as aMSN), it is a straight emulation of MSN Messenger for Windows, minus the ads, plus Tux icons! Written in TCL/Tk.

google "amsn"

I've heard of AMSN previously, but Gaim was preinstalled on RH9, so I suppose I've been lazy :)

Seriously, I stuck with Gaim in case I needed to IM people on other networks, but everyone I know on IM is using MSN, so maybe I should give AMSN a look.

Thanks for the feedback!

Tim
