No mp3 choice for audio cd ripping in K3b in Mandriva One 2010.0 KDE

Using K3b for ripping audio cd there is no mp3 choice-just ogg-Vorbis and many others.

Well, you didn't actually state a problem or ask a question. You posted some information about your distro.

I can now only assume that not having mp3 encoding is a problem for you. I guess you should either encode in a different format, or if you want to encode as mp3 you will probably need to install an mp3 encoder. Using the package management tool that comes with mandriva search for an mp3 encoder (for example lame) then install it.

Cheers,

Evo2.

Sorry for the lack of explanation of what I really wanted to say, too.

All appropriate stuff is already installed as I can both listen to mp3's(vlc-amarok etc) and encode to mp3(using Soundconverter or Rhythmox)-(gstreamer-lame installed)
The problem is focused ONLY on k3b audio cd ripping tool as the mp3 filetype choice is missing!

UPDATED...

I cannot explain it but problem is SOLVED!!!
I really did NOTHING and I can see now the mp3 choice in k3b ripping tool.
No logical explanation of that but happy to deal with. Thanks for trying anyway.
