no mouse/keyboard works while in kdm
I did a fresh install of woody. then i upgraded xfree86 to 3.0. then the xserver worked ok. i got kdm up and once i login i can see the splash screen of kde. then i did a shutdown -r 0, and kdm came up, but unfortunately i could not type anything, or move the mouse, or kill the server. Any ideas??

do dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xfree86 and setup the keyboard and mouse.

the problem is that when i restart the pc, it goes immediately to kdm, and i can not do anything to go to console. any ideas?

The only thing I can suggest is to boot from the install cd and at the boot prompt use the rescue option (safemode) and it should give you a command prompt.
