No login control panel in fedora 10
As the title states I have no Login panel in fedora 10. I went to change the theme of the login and discovered that it's not there as it has been in all previous versions. Can I install it somehow?

So can you login and see the desktop? If so,try to change the theme back to default,if you can't type in the tty after you login and try to change the theme then.If that ain't workin' post the errors that you see or what you see.

Sorry I guess I wasn't clear enough. My computer works fine but I want to change the theme of the login screen. Now in fedora 9 there was a control panel for this but in my installation of fedora 10 it seems to be missing. So my question is how can I get the control panel I need back?

I haven't used Fedora for some time and I think they removed "Login window" from the distro, also GDM is configured differently now. Here's something that might be useful to you.Have a look at the /etc/sysconfig and Gnome configuration editor too, maybe something can be changed from there.I don't know if "Login window" can be installed now,you can search for the package with yum with something like
Code:
su -c 'yum list loginwindow'
or
Code:
yum search loginwindow
Maybe you will find something here and here.

Apparently gdmsetup which was used to configure gdm settings was removed during a rewrite. Take a look here for more details.

Well, you can always try,but it might be very destructive. One way to do so would be by removing all GDM packages and whatever might be related to it and install some older version of it and whatever might be related to it,but as I said it sounds very destructive.

I would agree changing the entire GDM version sounds like asking for problems.

you could downgrade it to the one in fedora 8 BUT i would not try
if KDE is also installed then kdm can be used to boot into Gnome
