No IceWM after install of KDE 3.2.2
Hello, I'm currently running Suse Linux 9.0 and KDE 3.2.2 on my computer. For whatever reason, when I upgraded to the latest version of KDE, my IceWM disappeared from the Window Decorations section in the KDE Control Panel, and I lost the theme that I was using.
I found IceWM's official website, and downloaded it, but apparently it can only be installed on Red Hat, and there are a HUGE list of dependencies when I run Yast with it. Why do I not have IceWM anymore? Please reply if you have any idea as to how to solve this. Thank you! Digiplaya |
When you log in you can't change KDE to IceWM? And icewm is on the install CD's and suses ftp site...get it from there not the icewm site.

Alright, I re-installed IceWM into my Linux, and now I see it under Session Type before I log in. However, in the KDE Control Panel under Window Decorations, I still do not see IceWM as one of the options.
How can I make IceWM show up in the list of the Window Decorations panel? |
Well, after getting extremely frustrated from Suse Linux 9.0 (partially because the Free Download version does not come with Make or GCC) I came to the conclusion that I needed a new distro, so I switched over to Mandrake 10.0 Community.
I now have IceWM again in the Window Decorations panel, so this question is over. Digiplaya |
