no emails from new PC

I have bought a new PC and with help from here managed to transfer my Thunderbird profile from the old PC. Although I have all my previous saved emails and folders I have noticed that I am not receiving any new emails. Can anyone point me in the right direction of why this is happening?

First thing is to review the settings according to your email provider's instructions.

Agree check the settings, are you using IMAP, POP3 or what?

Give a ring to your email provider or search the web for any instruction.

Are you able to send/receive any email via webmail?
