MP3: this movie require a MPEG-a Layer3 (MP3) decoder plugin which is not installed.
AVI: following decoder are not installed
MPEG-a Layer 3 (MP3) decoder
XVID MEG-4 decoder
...etc, etc.

Due to "intellectual property" rights problems, most distros cannot provide many of the common A/V codecs in their default installations. You have to install them separately yourself. It's generally not that hard to set them up. This is a very common topic that has been covered repeatedly, so jump onto Google or the LQ search page and do some legwork.
