no acceptable cc found in $PATH


Trying to install xmps0.2.0 in FC4 but I get the following errors...

checking for working makeinfo... missing
checking whether to enable maintainer-specific portions of Makefiles... no
checking host system type... i686-pc-linux-gnu
checking build system type... i686-pc-linux-gnu
checking for ranlib... ranlib
checking for gcc... no
checking for cc... no
configure: error: no acceptable cc found in $PATH

how do I get a working c compiler in my path?

well if you have the fedora cd's install development in add/remove software.
