Question NIC Bonding cuts off internet access in virtual machine

I have a Centos Virtual machine in which I attempted to set up NIC bonding. When I did this my internet access was cut off.

In my /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ directory I have the following files:

bond0, my master connection:

Code:
DEVICE=bond0
TYPE=Bond
NAME=bond0
BONDING_MASTER=yes
BOOTPROTO=none
ONBOOT=yes
IPADDR=192.168.1.80
NETMASK=255.255.255.0
GATEWAY=192.168.1.1
BONDING_OPTS=”mode=5 miimon=100”
My first slave connection, enp0s3:

Code:
TYPE=Ethernet
BOOTPROTO=none
DEVICE=enp0s3
ONBOOT=yes
HWADDR=08:00:27:89:b6:e9
MASTER=bond0
SLAVE=yes
My second slave connection, enp0s8:

Code:
TYPE=Ethernet
BOOTPROTO=none
DEVICE=enp0s8
ONBOOT=yes
HWADDR=08:00:27:50:e6:89
MASTER=bond0
SLAVE=yes

Now, the hardware addresses I have in those files match what I see in the "ether" section when I run the ifconfig command, so that is not the problem.

I also have the network adapter set to "bridged" in the virtual machine settings.

I am completely stumped about what is happening here.

Is NetworkManager stopped and disabled? Is the bonding module loaded? What is the output of:

Code:
cat /proc/net/bonding/bond0

I have previously had issues with bonding that specifically had some kinds of bonding break my network connection purely because of driver support. I have a machine that has dual broadcom nic's that refuses to round robin because the driver is the repo driver for Debian, but works fine for Centos because its supported. Also the same config works on a dual Intel card where the drivers are correctly installed.

So, try a few bonding modes first to rule out any specific bonding mode issues, if the problem persists, I can walk you through my bonding configs.

Sorry I took so long to get back to you but I have been moving so I've been busy.

Here is the output of /proc/net/bonding/bond0.

It is in the attached thumbnail. I'm still stumped.

I am using Centos on both my main and virtual machines and it is still having issues. I have tried changing the mode to every option 0-5 and the issue is never resolved.
