nfs mount - shared directories on a networked machine

hi all,

I have a question about how to know the nfs mounts that a certain machine is offering to be shared. In other words, is there a way to know that which directories on machine X in the network is sharing.

I have an easy solution which i don't like is to issue "rsh" to that machine and see its /etc/exports:

rsh ia00210 less /etc/exports
rsh ia00210 exportfs.

Is there another way to know? probably using rpc ? (knowing that amd can know what directories that are shared by a machine.
