Nexuiz Freeze
 

I've tried running Nexuiz on my son's machine and it looked like I'd gotten things set up right - at first. He's running Ubuntu 64 bit and I'd installed (in order) the Nexuiz main installation package (something over 500MB) then the system or data package and then the sound package. I used Ubuntu's installer for everything and it looked like it all went without problems. My kid configured his character and everything, but when he went to start the game and it said to hit the "jump" to start playing we got nothing. (He had the space bar selected as "jump".) No keys were responsive and I had to hold in the reset switch to get out of things - total freeze. Is this a bug I need to get a patch for, or did I screw up the installation?

Can you try to run the game from the command line,see if you get any errors show up.
