Newbie Wine problem

The wine install went fine but when I try running wine I get this message: wine: relocation error: wine: undefined symbol: wine_init_argv0_path. Do you know what could be causing this?

Re: Newbie Wine problem

depends what you are trying to run...maybe whatever it is that you are trying isn't compatible (quite yet) with wine....or maybe wine isnt completely set up yet...but i can't see you getting that error by simply typing wine in the terminal...i would have to assume you are trying to run what is it?
