Newbie wants Knoppix along with Suse 9.3

Hi!
I'm a newbie when it comes to Linux, although I downloaded Suse 9.3 a while ago. When XP crashed again the day before yesterday I thought it was an ideal opportunity to make the switch - totally, as I'm fed up with all the Windows security and maintenance issues!
In contrast I think that Suse is brilliant. Those little flickering lights on the modem actually stopped flickering - at first I thought I had lost my connection!
Just incase Suse should crash at an inopportune time I feel that it would be an excellent idea to download 'Knoppix' as a backup. However, Knoppix apparently requires a bittorent, or P2P program to download it. I've been mooching around with Google for a while now, but unfortunately such a thing seems difficult to find. Can anybody help please?
I was so pleased to find this site that I've set it as my home page!
Thanks all.:newbie:

Knoppix from an ftp server can be found here. The only problem is that the server is very slow (about 11 hours to download one disk).

hi there if u want to down load knoppix or suse I would use bittorrent u will need to download a torrent utility. I never like bittorrent untill I tryed it. u can pause your downloads and the files r more likley to have the right check sum. bittorrent will save u alot of time believe me. because quite often bits of information go missing that is why so many knoppix torrents r out their. u will meed to check the check sums of every file u download [u will need a app to check the check sums], especially if it has took u 3 hours to download. u will need an IOS burner which will make your cd bootable u cant just drag files in to your cd burning app, I use "BurnCDCC 1.05" I am telling u this in case u dont already no

those little flickering lights on the modem actually stopped

this is probably because suse does not reconise the modem. which I had problems with these modem. though I use a rooter with an adsl moden built in. my modems given to me by AOL does not work with any distro, eg there is not driver for it

Hi!
Thanks very much for your comments, but as I've said I downloaded Suse 9.3 a while ago (about six weeks I think). As for the flickering lights, I don't think I explained myself very well. I was initially suprised that they weren't flickering so assuming that there was something wrong I rang up my ISP - NTL. They explained to me that it was because I was no longer being bombarded with rubbish data, as I'd switched to Linux. I think it's wonderful to know that I'm no longer being bombarded with this stuff.
I think I have a tendancy to waffle too much!
My question was, is there any problem with using Knoppix if Suse is still on the computer, but isn't working for some reason i.e. in such a case would I still be able to access the web using Knoppix.
Actually I downloaded the Knoppix CD during last night, so it sits on my desk waiting to be burned now, so I may just try it with Suse running perfectly.
However, I'd really like to make certain first that doing this won't mess things up. I don't see why it should, but I don't know that it won't, if you see what I mean.
Before I take the plunge - has anyone else here ever tried doing that. If so did it work O.K.?

Hi there if u have a none working suse or a working OS on your computer. you can use knoppix and it will not touch any operating system on your hard disk. you may ask as others have how come, well knoppix loads in RAM from the cd due to this it will not even touch the hard-disk it seems weird to a newbe but it is the way computers work. except it uses the hard-disk normaly because it is faster and you can save data on it to. feal free to use knoppix or the live suse cd and remember it will never touch your OS be it windows suse or any other OS. feal free to use knoppix what ever state of your OS
