Newbie question on rpm problem

No matter what I am attempting to install using RPM packages, I always have bad signatures and cannot install. Any thoughts?

Just because an rpm package has a "bad signature" doesn't mean you can't install it. It's a device used to try to make sure the rpms will work on your system. I find the bad signature message crops up when I install non-Mandrake rpms on my 9.1 machine. Most of them still work, though.

make sure you aren't getting .src or .ppc or .mdk rpms if you are using red hat for example - get the plain old i386 rpms.

more info on this is on my guide, link is below
