I have just recently converted to ubuntu linux from windows. I have it dual booted on my computer with Win XP and i have a few questions.
Firat off: I would like to Download aMsn Messenger for ubuntu Intel edition. And i would also like to be able to use the Linux installer. Where can i get these to work together? Any body know a link? Thanks
Also, once i have it DLed how do i install it?

And don't forget that Ubuntu installs Gaim by default, which is a great instant messanger and supports MSN protocols. It's found under "Applications >> Internet >> Gaim"

Still couldnt get aMsn to work but ill mess around some more, I tried the installer and it said i needed to open it with another program...
Also i tried the second one and it says " sudo: dkpg: command not found.
Thanks for the gaim tip, this is a fun program.

Errors were encountered while processing:
amsn
hmmm, try to fire up synaptic (System >> Administration >> Synaptic) and install those packages individually (sox, imlib, tcltls, docks). It's a bit of work, but if you just have to use aMSN instead of Gaim, then that's the way to go
You may also want to add a few extra repositories as the extra hoary. You can find more about that here:
sweet ill try doing this and get back to you. Although ive gained a new love for gaim, i want to try and install linux as a practice for other installations. Thanks a bunch
