newbie: how to open the main file?
 
how do u open the main file or program for amsn? im at the folder usr/share/amsn everythings there but i dont knoe whats what....like which file is the lets say for windows 'executible' (excuse my spelling) that runs the program

its usually the name of the program.. like amsn.

If /usr/share isn't in your path, you would most likely just cd into the directory where the command (executable) is at and then issue something like this:

./amsn &

Search for amsn that could help, It is in a \bin folder somewhere, that is one big prob. with linux it spits the files out & expects you to find the executable.
