run the mandrake control center and click Boot, then DrakBoot and you can set it up there.

Why, are you scared of the keyboard? Most people are more scared of the mouse. Yes, you can alter your boot manager to load Linux automatically (or after a certain amount of time), and you can automatically log into a single account, which achieves your goals. Mandrake control center has the appropriate options for doing so. (I have to do this with my sister's computer, because she HATES(!!!) passwords.)

thx for the reply, no I'm not scared of the keyboard, I am new to Linux, I have been using win98 and NT as Kiosks and I have another 500 kiosks to roll out and I wanted to use mandrake 9.1 instead. But I need them to return to the gui without any prompting. I have played with the boot a bit, but I still have to dos type boot at the start that seems to need a key press to continue the boot process. it is this that I am trying to get fixed.

I really want to use linux over ms, it will be great to have 500 systems out there flying the flag for Linux.....
