Cool new to red hat 9


hello, i am new to linux and i like it so far. i am running with red hat 9. any information on this OS? how old it is ect...virus programs, updates...any help would be greatly appreciated. thank you

It is more than two years old. After RH9, Red Hat Linux was superseded by two products: Red Hat Enterprise Linux, which you have to pay for and doesn't get updated and is very stable; and Fedora Core, which is free and constantly updated (which means it's not as stable). So if you want something like Red Hat 9 but has new stuff, then you should get Fedora Core. If you really prefer to stay with Red Hat 9, you should read this page to configure updates.
