Well as you will see I am brand new and this will/have been my first installation of a linux box. I just installed Mandrake 10.1 and boy did that seem easy, now I need to do the rest, I can ping the rest of my network, which is a good sign?
Now I woudl liek to connect (map) to another server on my network running RH 7.3? on this box I have an application that I need to run, can anybody please tell me how do I do this?

Also, I woudl like to get the KDE desktop running but it shoudl not allow the user to do anything except use options in this app?

Hope the above makes any sense.....anyway I can not believe I wasted 9 years on MS!!!
