Question Network panel from TeeJee stopped working on upgrade to 16.04

Previous to moving to Xubuntu 16.04, I had installed TeeJee's Conky Manager in Xubuntu 14.04 and used the CPU panel, the process panel, and the network panel successfully. I installed TeeJee's Conky Manager in 16.04 but the network panel no longer works with WiFi (wlan0) with the exception of reporting the public IP address. Is there another Conky or other tool which will show a graph for upload and download rates which will work in 16.04? Please let me know. Thanks.

Most likely the problem is in the naming of the interface. Under 16.04, Ubuntu has started using the new naming conventions. So, what used to be wlan0 on my laptop is now called wlp3s0. You will need to edit the widget to reflect the current name given to your wireless interface. That can be checked by opening a terminal and entering "ip a" or using ifconfig. Once you know the name, use Conky Manager to edit it in the widget and your problem should be solved.

Paul.

Paul,
Thanks for your help. That worked. I ran ifconfig. It returned wlp2s0. I replaced wlan0 with wlp2s0 in the widget and it's working again.

Glad to hear it. Don't forget to mark the thread as solved so others can see the resolution...
