Network Manager Applet NOT Showing on System Tray

Hello,

For some reason the network manager applet on the system tray does not start which is weird since all network and internet are working perfectly.

I am using kubuntu 14.04. and when I try to start applet on terminal manually I get the following error:

Code:

user@computer# nm-applet

** (nm-applet:7749): WARNING **: Could not initialize NMClient /org/freedesktop/NetworkManager: The name org.freedesktop.NetworkManager was not provided by any .service files

(nm-applet:7749): nm-applet-WARNING **: Failed to initialize D-Bus: Did not receive a reply. Possible causes include: the remote application did not send a reply, the message bus security policy blocked the reply, the reply timeout expired, or the network connection was broken.

(nm-applet:7749): GLib-GObject-CRITICAL **: object NMApplet 0x1fce030 finalized while still in-construction

(nm-applet:7749): GLib-GObject-CRITICAL **: Custom constructor for class NMApplet returned NULL (which is invalid). Please use GInitable instead.

Any help is appreciatte because is driving me crazy.

Thanks!

I fixed the problem, to fix this please use the following command on kubuntu:

Quote:

apt-get install nm-plasma
