network link speed
Hi there,
can anybody out there tell me how i can find out the link speed of my network card? I dont want to know how fast or how much data is been transferred but at what speed it is connected e.g. 10mb, 100mb or 1gb. I have recently upgraded my network to 1GB and it still seems to be running the same as it did when it was 100mb. I know in windows the connection properties tell you at what speed the network is connected but i cant find a similar thing in linux. my main computer is running Suse 9.3 and my server is running sles9. any help will be much appreciated. regards berrance |
