Angry netscape profile lost

for some reason my system locked up, hardfware fault. I had to reset. Once I restarted I tried to open netscape but it saoid the default profile was in use so I had to create a new profile. Once done I rebooted and when I restarted my browser there was only one profile, the new one. the profile jhad gone from the list.

Can I recover my profile as I had all my emails in it and I have lost the email settings as well?

The reason is because there is still a lock on the profile.

In your home directory, there is a .netscape directory.
Inside the .netscape, you will see a soft link called lock. It is pointing to an IP address.

Simply delete the file 'lock'.
