Netscape 9 is faster than Firefox

I gave the old Netscape 9 a try lately. I know it is old and not supported any more. It even asks people to use either Firefox or flock. But I have noticed that it is far more faster than firefox. It is very fast that I decided to use it!
I have a problem of running flash on it, I wish I can, but I really want to know why is Netscape very fast (if it is really fast as I find it!)

It is out dated and full of security holes. run an updated browser. never noticed firefox not being fast. You can always try opera or swiftfox, some people say they are faster than straight firefox.
