NETSAINT configure hangs at /sbin/ping

Hi,

I'm trying to install NETSAINT on RH7.3 but each time I run the ./configure it gives me ths same error every time:

checking for gdImagePng in -lgd (order 1)... yes
GD library was found!
checking for traceroute... /usr/sbin/traceroute
checking for ping... /bin/ping

and then just hangs there.....

I found some info on the internet saying RH7.3 had a problem with ping. They suggested using ping for RH7.2 instead, so I downloaded "iputils-20001110-6.src.rpm" and successfully installed it. When I tried to configure NETSAINT, it did the same. Is there some way to tell RH7.3 to use the ping for RH7.2?

Thanks!
Ilektro
