netcat -e option

i have gotten nc110.tgz installed it but for some reason i don't have the -e option? is there a patch to get the -e option because i don't understand why i don't have it. and i can't set up my internal server without the -e option so i can get a bash prompt when i log into it without the -e to execute /bin/bash on the listening server.. someone please help me out and point me in the right direction thanks
