1) I'd reccomend you get a newer version of netcat here
The old version of netcat is a nightmare to read and is
quite out of date. It is/was a great piece of software.

2) I'd learn how paths work
in the sources directory try ./nc
compiling does not equal installing.
3) You are not missing any libraries AFAIK.
4) Look at the error message
bash: nc: command not found
bash: <- this means it's the shell bash having an error
nc: command not found
that means bash could not find the command
not that there are libraries missing or that
the program wouldn't run
