NetBeans 6.5 on Fedora8

hi there
NetBeans6.5 doesn't work on fedora8. What could be the reason? Is there any APIs missing in fedora8? Any Solution to this problem...

Can you provide some details/error messages? Also check out: http://www.netbeans.org/community/re.../relnotes.html and scan the page for: "fedora core 8" [sic].

other than the fact that fedora 8 is no longer supported .i can point you to the fedora 9 ,10 and 11 beta help pages .

There is no specific error message but the system halts whenever I start a new project. N I am unable to proceed.
