I trying to install fedora core 2 .. it probed all my hardwares and could not detect my monitor so put a generic crt and proceded with the installation, so when it gets ready to install it send kill signal the stop the installation then it says it says now it safe to reboot .......
You may want to try the installation again with some different settings. It sounds like a problem I had when installing Slackware 9.1 before. The problem for me was that I hadn't finished all the steps necessary to complete the installation.
it stopped when it finish installing the files images to the harddrive then it stop........then when into dos windows (sorry new to linux) I read all masseges and say something about exited adnormal ...then kill signals and so onnnnn
If you could try installing again (I know it could take a while) you may not get the message again. If you do, have a pen and paper ready to write down all you can of the error message before it shuts down. If you could maybe give us some hardware specs and a little info about your system it might help also. IMO, I would just try to re-install.
hi.
even i faced the same problem. I completed my installation in text mode. And when i booted up my machine it went into GUI mode without any problem. But i was not able to find out what was the problem.
