Need XML Source Files for C

Trying to write some simple XML read/write stuff in C. The include files aren't there, e.g., libxml/xmlreader.h though I find XMl libs, such as

/usr/lib/libxml2.so.2

What's the package I install to get the includes & all libs I need?

Thanks!
Ron

Depends on the distro you use. Generally it has the same name as the package with the user space files but has -dev or -devel appended to it. So if you installed libxml2-2.3.7, the package with development files would be libxml2-2.3.7-dev.

Shouldn't be hard to figure out using your distro's package manager. AFAIK, all the decent package managers have an option to search for packages given partial package names. A search of that nautre would also list the development package.

The Debian / Ubuntu package name is 'libxml2-dev'

And if you are still using Fedora 2, please look
for 'libxml2-devel' .
