Unhappy Need to help for array controller configuration

Hi Expert,

I have lit bit knowledge in storage part. I am totally new in array controller configuration, How to do ?

Problem is :

I Have hp Proliant DL 360 G5 server and attached one SATA 6 TB (MSA) storage part.
Disk Configured is /dev/cciss/d0t0x is primary disk and in this disk Window-2003 was installed.
Second Disk /dev/cciss/d0t1X - Free, so I Have installed RHEL-4.0 in this disk.

At a time RHEL-4 installing, One Error message showing like your /dev/cciss/d0t0x is problem.

I tried another method for advanced boot loader configuration and select drive /dev/cciss/d0t1X .

After completed the installation, automatic Window-2003 is starting

So please give me advice ,and what process I need to follow or how to I configuration array configuration in this critical Machine.

Thanks

see if everything was properly installed then doing a lvmdiskscan will show you

/dev/cciss/c0d0p1 ( Meaning controller 0 disk 0 partition 1) and
/dev/cciss/c0d1p1

(Since you say two disks) ... But I dont still understand how you are able to see your disks if they are under an array controller.

I will show you some screenshots from my config :

[root@localhost Harry]# /sbin/lvm
lvm> lvmdiskscan
/dev/ramdisk [ 16.00 MB]
/dev/root [ 682.81 GB]
/dev/ram [ 16.00 MB]
/dev/cciss/c0d0p1 [ 101.94 MB]
/dev/VolGroup00/LogVol01 [ 15.62 GB]
/dev/ram2 [ 16.00 MB]
/dev/cciss/c0d0p2 [ 698.46 GB] LVM physical volume
/dev/ram3 [ 16.00 MB]
/dev/ram4 [ 16.00 MB]
/dev/ram5 [ 16.00 MB]
/dev/ram6 [ 16.00 MB]
/dev/ram7 [ 16.00 MB]
/dev/ram8 [ 16.00 MB]
/dev/ram9 [ 16.00 MB]
/dev/ram10 [ 16.00 MB]
/dev/ram11 [ 16.00 MB]
/dev/ram12 [ 16.00 MB]
/dev/ram13 [ 16.00 MB]
/dev/ram14 [ 16.00 MB]
/dev/ram15 [ 16.00 MB]
3 disks
16 partitions
0 LVM physical volume whole disks
1 LVM physical volume
lvm> exit
Exiting.
[root@localhost Harry]# ls /dev/cciss
c0d0 c0d0p1 c0d0p2
[root@localhost Harry]# ls /dev/cciss/c0d0p1
/dev/cciss/c0d0p1
[root@localhost Harry]# ls /dev/cciss/c0d0p1
/dev/cciss/c0d1p1
[root@localhost Harry]#

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~```
If you look at mine the 100 MB in partition 1 is the boot partition and the remaining is the logical volume..
