Need to calcuate modelines -- videogen

I need to calculate the proper modelines for my monitor but I can't figure out how to use videogen. I used to use gtf? to do this, but apparently Ubuntu doesn't come with that. It does however come with videogen, so anyone enlighten me on how to use this program?? I've searched, and everyone seems to know how, but no one is willing to share. Thanks!

Here's an online version of gtf Have fun. Basically you just need to fill in your resolution and refresh rate, ie, 1280, 1024, 75 meaning 1280x1024@75
