need some urgent help regarding ubuntu

hi to every one,

i am facing an issue on my website which is ubuntu based OS,
Basically i have to play FLV videos and mp3 audio files on my site,
My site is working fine on windows, but it is not playing flv, mp3 files on ubuntu OS.
How can i play flv and mp3 files on ubuntu OS?
please tell me the right solution for this, i am waiting for your responses.

I'm not sure I understand, but I think you want the package ubuntu-restricted-extras from the Multiverse repository.

I have installed ubuntu-restricted-extras, but flv videos are not playing on my ubuntu website, do you have any other source?

Which exact distribution are you using? Which version? You say "Ubuntu-based" OS. Here is more information on what was already suggested:

What software are you using to try to play the .mp3 and .flv files?
