need Skype 1.4 rpm for fedora 7

Hello,
does anybody have a rpm package for Skype 1.4 for Fedora 7, or now where I could download one?
There is a problem with Skype 2.0 and pulse audio on Fedora 8. Skype 1.4 works just perfect, but I don't have the rpm package anymore & skype refused to provide it to me.
Thanks for help.

You use Fedora so I'm pretty sure there have been other Skype users having faced that same problem. Looking for threads at LQ or Fedora forums may yield clues. Else please try to explain in detail and maybe we can help. Posting details and exact (error) messages could help. Else you could get the static QT tarball instead: http://download.skype.com/linux/skyp...18-oss.tar.bz2. At least it's v1.4, it should unpack everything in one directory IIRC, so shouldn't be hard to clean up later on.

Thumbs up Thanks

This did help me - it works again.
The problem was, that if I wanted to make a call, I received error message "Problem with sound device".
This problem occurs with Skype 2.0.0.68 on Fedora 8.
Skype is aware of this problem - I wrote to their tech support. They said it should be fixed in the next skype update - but did not provide any release date.

Thank you.
