Need Screenshots with mouse cursor
Hi,
I am in search of a program that will take screenshots with the mouse cursor in them. I've tried ksnapshot and the gimp, but it appears that including the cursor is not an option in either. I am in the process of illustrating how-to books and must have the cursor in my screenshots. In the past I've taken the screenshots and pasted in a cursor using the gimp, but what a hassle! If there was a program that would simply include them, my life would be a whole lot easier. If you have any ideas, please post. Thanks! |
I'm sure there's a command with an option to do this; I had thought it was called xscreenshot but I can't seem to find it.
If you try a freshmeat.net search for screenshot then you'll get quite a few utilities. You could try running X on a framebuffer and using a framebuffer capture tool (it will run slower but I doubt it would hide the mouse). Also, try the Gnome screenshot applet; it has many options. Hope that helps, — Robert J. Lee |
Thanks, Robert.
I will probably not have a chance to check those programs out until this weekend, but I'll let you know if I have any success. |
